School Policies
Parent Student Handbook:
Cell Phone Policy
FuturEdge Charter Academy has implemented a cell phone policy to ensure a focused and productive learning environment for all students. This policy aims to minimize distractions, promote student engagement, and maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere throughout the school day.
The use of cell phones during instructional time is strictly prohibited. This includes accessing social media, messaging apps, games, or any other non-educational content on cell phones. Students are required to keep their cell phones turned off or on silent mode and securely stored in their backpacks or designated areas during school hours.
- Verbal warning and reminder of the cell phone policy.
- The student will be required to turn off their cell phone and store it in their backpack or designated area for the remainder of the class or instructional period.
- Written warning issued to the student, documenting the violation.
- The student’s cell phone will be confiscated and held by a designated school staff member until the end of the school day. Parents/guardians will be notified of the violation and must pick up the cell phone from the administrator.
- Progressive disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- Detention or after-school study sessions.
- Loss of privileges, such as participation in extracurricular activities or events.
- Parent/guardian conference to discuss the continued violation of the cell phone policy.
- Additional consequences as determined by the school administration.
Please note that repeated violations of the cell phone policy may result in more severe disciplinary action in accordance with the school’s code of conduct, including but not limited to suspension or loss of privileges.
Dress Code (Uniform) Policy
FuturEdge Charter Academy students are expected to wear appropriate clothing based on their grade level and the specific situation. Inappropriate clothing and appearance can disrupt the school program, and principals are entrusted with enforcing compliance with the dress code policy among those under their jurisdiction.
